I thought I knew Korean until I had to sing a ballad. The pronunciation of the bottom consonants changes everything!
My teacher keeps saying my "ㄴ" sounds like "ㄹ" and it's ruining the emotion. I spend hours recording myself and comparing it to the original. Do u guys have any tips for making Korean sound natural and not like a 'textbook'? Any specific tongue exercises?
I just saw the teaser for LE SSERAFIM’s comeback in late April and... my jaw dropped. Their core strength is just insane! 😭
Now my trainer is pushing me even harder, saying "Visuals are 50% fitness" lol. My body aches so much, but seeing them makes me want to do 100 more crunches. Is your studio also in a 'Fitness Craze' right now? Let’s share some effective core workout tips for that "Idol Line"!
I realized that if I wear "Baggy" clothes, my hip-hop moves look cooler, but my lines look messy.
But if I wear "Tight" athletic gear, I focus more on my posture and core. For my next monthly eval, I’m planning to wear a cropped hoodie with high-waist leggings to show my body lines while keeping the 'hip' vibe. What’s your "Power Outfit" for evaluations? Does it change your confidence level?
Sometimes the studio is too crowded, so I find "alternative" stages. lol.
- The Shower: Perfect reverb!
- Under the Blanket: Good for recording demos without outside noise.
- The Park at Night: You can sing as loud as u want (if no one is around). Where do u guys find your "secret stage"? Any funny stories?
I just learned this from my acting coach! Most trainees look at the lens and think "I hope I look pretty."
But the pros look at the lens and think a specific sentence. For a cool concept, think "You can't handle me." For a cute concept, think "I have a secret for u." The camera picks up those tiny micro-expressions in your eyes. It’s the difference between a "dead stare" and "star quality." Have u guys tried 'eye-acting' exercises in the dark?
Lately, I’ve been thinking beyond just practice—I’m thinking about 'Identity.' In an audition room packed with 100 people, how do you make the judges remember you?For me, I chose 'Ocean Blue.' It represents where I’m from, but it also feels calm yet powerful—just like the stage presence I want to have. Now, when I film my self-tapes, I always throw in a small blue accessory or use a subtle blue light in the background. It’s like my personal "logo."
Stop just picking "pretty" clothes and start picking clothes that tell your STORY. When the judges look at your file, they shouldn't just see a "trainee"—they should see a "Brand."
😘Comment your color below and tell me WHY! Let's build our visual identities!

Hope you all had a productive day! So here’s my struggle: my dance feels way too biased toward one genre. I’ve done Hip-Hop for years, so no matter what choreo I do, those old habits always creep in and make my lines look messy. ㅠㅠ
But as an idol, you need to be a chameleon and pull off every concept, right? Do you think I should try something totally different, like Ballet or Contemporary, to fix my posture and lines? If anyone here has successfully transitioned from one style to a more "all-rounder" vibe, please tell me how you trained!
Hey everyone! I’ve been going extra hard on my vocal lessons lately, but my throat is honestly giving up on me. I’m already chugging warm water like a maniac and keeping my humidifier on 24/7, but the raspiness just won't go away once I push my range.
How do you guys take care of your voice? Are there any "holy grail" tea brands or throat candies among trainees? Also, if you have tips for vocal warm-ups that don’t strain the vocal cords too much, please share! I’m so frustrated because I can’t practice properly. Help a girl out!
I’m currently learning Korean, English, AND Japanese. My brain is basically a salad right now. lol.
When I go to global auditions, do they care more about the 'pronunciation' or the 'confidence'? I’m so scared I’ll mix up my words and say "Thank you" in the wrong language lol. How are u guys studying languages while practicing 12 hours a day?
