Don't just 'stare' at the camera. 'Communicate' with it!
I just learned this from my acting coach! Most trainees look at the lens and think "I hope I look pretty."
But the pros look at the lens and think a specific sentence. For a cool concept, think "You can't handle me." For a cute concept, think "I have a secret for u." The camera picks up those tiny micro-expressions in your eyes. It’s the difference between a "dead stare" and "star quality." Have u guys tried 'eye-acting' exercises in the dark?
This is such a game-changer! I tried the 'secret' thought during my last evaluation and my coach actually said I looked way more 'alive.' It’s all about that inner monologue!
Wait, this is actually a game-changer! I always had that 'dead stare' in my monthly eval videos and I didn't know why. I’m definitely gonna try thinking of a sentence next time.
