Are you really going to be stuck in thousands of dollars of Trainee Debt? Let's clear the confusion 💳⚖️"

There is so much misinformation floating around on TikTok saying "If you become a K-pop trainee, you'll be burdened with debt for life." Let’s break down how it actually works in 2026.

  1. Big 4 Agencies (HYBE, SM, JYP, YG): They absorb 100% of training costs (vocal, dance, language, housing, food). Even if you leave or get cut before debut, you owe ZERO dollars. 🛡️✨
  2. Reputable Mid-Tier Agencies: Most legitimate mid-tier companies also do not charge trainees if they get released. Trainee debt usually only accumulates upon debut, where training costs are recouped from group revenue.
  3. The Red Flag Warning: If an agency asks you or your parents to pay a monthly "training fee" or "registration cost" upfront... RUN. That is an academy or a scam, not an idol entertainment agency. Know your rights before signing any contract!

Being a trainee in 2026 means you need the emotional flexibility of a Hollywood actor. For the past six months, my agency told me the upcoming global group was going to be "Dark, Edgy, and Alternative Hip-Hop." So I spent all my time practicing zero-smile, intense gazes, and sharp hip-hop drops. ⛓️💥

Then at yesterday’s weekly evaluation meeting, the director casually said, "The trend shifted. We are doing a Bright, Melodic 'Summer-Boy/Girl' vibe now. Change your whole aura." ☀️🌿 Just like that, I have to wipe the anger off my face and learn how to smile while doing a 180° turn. It’s literal identity whiplash. lol. How do you guys switch your inner energy so fast without feeling fake?

Hey guys! Hope everyone is surviving the intense summer practices! 🥵
I recently started using foot shampoo at the studio, and it’s so good that I just had to share it here.

Wearing dance shoes all day makes your feet so suffocated and sweaty. But washing them with foot shampoo right after practice gives this amazing cooling sensation that instantly relieves the soreness. It’s perfect for odor control and just basic etiquette when practicing in groups 👍 If you share a studio or sweat a lot, keep one in your locker. Best budget-friendly healing item ever!

A girl I used to practice with at the academy just got into a debut team, and she reached out completely changed 180 degrees lmao. When she first came to the academy, she could barely sing in the corner, but after getting thousands of feedbacks and dancing, her mental strength got so much stronger and now she's so confident. I'm literally born introverted, but if I practice hard, can I eventually get a golden heart and stop shaking at auditions? ㅠㅠ

I’ve been trying to record a dance cover of the latest comeback track that's trending everywhere on short-form right now. On screen, the idols look so relaxed, just doing cute hand movements and facial expressions from the waist up.

But when you download the full-focus mirrored version? Oh my god. To make that upper body look "effortless," your legs are doing micro-bounces and non-stop weight shifts every 0.5 seconds. 👟📈 My ankles were literally screaming after 5 takes. If you’re preparing a short-form audition video, remember that judges can see through the camera frame—if your base isn’t locked, your upper body will look shaky no matter how pretty your smile is!

omg guys, have y'all watched the new clips of jennie at the festival in poland?? she’s been booked and busy like she has 10 clones, but her stage presence is still absolutely insane...

especially that custom diesel outfit?? completely unique and suited her SO well, i actually gasped 😭 having that solid solo album with a killer tracklist really pays off because the crowd was screaming every single lyric. the energy was unreal!!

blackpink jennie is legendary ofc, but soloist jennie commanding the entire stage by herself is just peak GOAT behavior ngl...

knowing how much blood, sweat, and tears she must’ve put into those few minutes behind the scenes makes me respect her so much more ㅠㅠ like, the work ethic is crazy. my ultimate dream is to practice hard enough to hear a massive festival crowd sing my songs back to me one day.. period. time to lock in and grind at the studio today 🔥

go watch the fancams on youtube right now if you need a motivation boost, it literally cures procrastination fr!! 👍

Yesterday, I received a casting offer through Instagram DM. But it's not a major agency—it's a mid-sized or rookie label I've never heard of, so honestly, I'm a bit scared and worried .. I heard there are a lot of DM casting scams nowadays... If there are any fellow trainees who know how to filter out if an agency is legit or if I should just ignore it, please share some tips!!

Wow, time flies so fast... I literally cannot believe it's already July;;;I put my whole soul into preparing for auditions during the first half of the year, but getting rejected at the finals or failing at the first round is making me feel so helpless lately. I keep doubting myself, thinking "Will I ever make it?" and just feel so small... How do you guys manage your mindset and bounce back when audition results shatter your mental state? Please drop some warm advice!

Ahhhh guys, my heart is still pounding so fast... The academy I go to has these periodic level tests, and I was stuck in the intermediate class for ages. I used to secretly cry in the bathroom, feeling like my skills were completely stagnant, and went through a massive slump. But this time... I FINALLY made it to the highest level, the advanced class ㅠㅠ Literally crying tears of joy ㅠㅠㅠ

I guess analyzing my monitoring videos a hundred times to fix every single dance line and living in the studio overnight paid off... The coaches who gave feedback told me that my facial expressions and stage presence have improved so much. I almost burst into tears right there 😭 Hard work really doesn't betray you!

I’ve been practicing K-pop dances for 4 years, and I usually learn them in two days. But lately? Groups like TWS or RIIZE are making me feel like a complete beginner.

Their choreo doesn't have massive, aggressive jumps. Instead, it’s all about "Micro-timing." They are literally isolating their shoulders and shifting their weight on the half-beats (1-and-2-and-3). If you are even 0.1 seconds late, you don't look cool; you just look clumsy. For anyone prepping an audition tape: do NOT choose a song just because the MV looks laid-back. The casual-looking ones are actually the most technical.
