Hey guys, So, I finally decided to film my 1-minute audition video today, but I ran into a HUGE problem. My room is so small and the lighting is honestly... tragic.

I tried filming in front of my white wall, but my bed takes up half the frame lol. Plus, the shadows on my face make me look like I haven't slept in years! I tried using a desk lamp for extra light, but then I just looked like a ghost. Does anyone else deal with this?

Should I just film in my living room and hope my parents don't walk in? Or is it okay if some furniture is showing in the back? I’m so stressed that the scouts will think I’m messy or unprofessional.

If you have any hacks for "small room" filming or cheap lighting, please please let me know! I'm desperate!! 🙏

online audition hack: put a tiny bright sticker right next to your laptop camera lens! 👁️ it helps u keep eye contact with the judges instead of looking at your own face on the screen. it makes u look so much more professional and focused. try it! 💻🔥

stop using the same top 10 kpop hits! 🛑 i heard from a former scout that they get bored hearing the same songs 500 times a day. try using a 2000s r&b track or a jazzy pop song. it shows your unique vocal tone way better than a generic idol track. be different!

I’ve sent out like 20 audition videos this month and i finally realized a few things about the "self-cam" vibe:

  1. Wear Bright Colors: Black hoodies are comfy but they make u blend into the background. Wear something like pastel blue or white to make your face pop!
  2. Check the Audio: Record 5 seconds first and listen. If the music is too loud, the scouts can't hear your breathing or your vocal tone.
  3. The "Exit" is Important: Don't just awkwardly cut the video. Bow politely and smile until the camera is OFF. It shows your manners!

hope this helps my fellow dreamers! let's get that pass email soon!

hey future idols! i was talking to a friend who actually trained at a mid-sized company in seoul, and she gave me some tips on what scouts look for during global auditions.

we all know about talent, but apparently, these small things matter SO MUCH:

  1. The "Pre-Start" Second: Don't just stand there waiting for the music. Start acting your "concept" the moment you walk in. If it’s a bright song, show that smile BEFORE the music hits.
  2. Eye Contact with the Camera: In online auditions, the lens is your audience. Don't look at yourself on the screen! Look directly into the lens. It feels weird, but it makes u look 100x more confident.
  3. Recovery is Key: If u mess up a lyric or a step, DO NOT stop or make a face 💀 just smile and keep going. They actually love seeing how u handle mistakes because it shows your stage manners.
  4. Natural Lighting > Professional Studio: Believe it or not, some scouts find studio lighting too "fake." Good old sunlight by the window shows your natural skin and features better!

honestly, they aren't looking for someone who's already a pro. they're looking for someone they can "mold" into a star. so just show your potential and stay humble!

hope this helps someone today! let’s keep grinding. ily guys!!

so i've been researching a lot and watching former trainees' vlogs, and here’s what i found for the 1-minute video:

  1. Lighting is everything: Don't film against the window. Use natural light or a ring light!
  2. Hook them in 5 seconds: Scouts watch hundreds of videos. Show your best part first!
  3. Clean background: Make sure your room isn't messy lol.
  4. No heavy filters: They want to see your natural face.

hope this helps someone! we're all gonna kill it. good luck everyone! 🔥💖
