Looking around my room today and realized K-pop has completely taken over.
It started with one 'TWS' poster, and now I have a dedicated shelf for albums, three different lightsticks, and a whole corner set up as a "Mini Studio" for dance covers. 💃✨ My non-K-pop friends think I’m joining a cult, but they don't understand the Aesthetic. Does your room look like a museum too, or are u a "Hidden Fan"? Show me your setups!
Is it just me? I practice in front of my bedroom mirror and I feel like I’m ready to debut in a Big 3 company.
But the moment I hit "Record" and watch the playback... who is that? lol. My lines look messy and my facial expressions are so stiff. Does anyone have a trick to bridge the gap between "Mirror Self" and "Camera Self"? Should I stop practicing with a mirror entirely?
just saw the world tour schedules for some groups and i’m literally speechless. like how do they perform for 3 hours, fly to a different country, and still hit the gym at 2am?? it’s not even just talent anymore, their mental strength is actually built different.
it makes me realize that being an idol is 90% discipline and 10% glamour. seeing them stay so dedicated even when they’re exhausted is such a huge wake-up call for me. i complained about a 4-hour dance practice today, but i really need to lock in if i want to reach that level. honestly so much respect for them.
I’ve been grinding on my core for 90 days straight and the first ripples of a six-pack are finally showing up! It’s tiny but it’s there lol. 😭 Does anyone have a "holy grail" ab routine that’s not just a thousand crunches? I need something to really snatch my waist for the upcoming profile shoot. Help a trainee out! 🙏🔥
I’ve been watching Korean variety shows to improve my language skills, and I’m losing it lol. How is everyone so funny and chaotic while being so talented? It’s giving "born to entertain" energy. Do we actually need to practice being funny for the cameras, or does it just happen once u move to Seoul? I'm lowkey worried my personality is too dry for this.
I caught myself saying "Aigoo" and "Jinjja" while talking to my mom on FaceTime. 😭 She was like, "Are u still speaking English?"
But honestly, 'Konglish' is becoming its own global aesthetic. I see so many international trainees mixing languages in their vlogs. Do u guys think we should try to keep our native language "pure" for interviews, or is this "Global Hybrid" vibe what companies actually want now?
I’ve seen 3 different evaluation videos this week where trainees mixed Korean/Japanese/Thai traditional movements with modern street dance.
It looks so cool and fresh in 2026! 🌏 It’s like the "Global-pop" evolution. Do u think we should all learn a bit of our cultural dances to stand out? It definitely catches the judges' eyes more than a standard TikTok dance.
Guys, I was watching Amazing Saturday yesterday to practice my Korean, and did you see ILLIT Wonhee and Kiya? I was literally watching with my mouth open... They are such pros on stage, but their talk and reactions on the show were so natural and cute. I was like, "Are they actually variety geniuses?"
Honestly, as a trainee, there’s barely enough time to practice singing and dancing. But nowadays, you have to lock in your "character" on variety shows or self-produced content right after debut. It makes me seriously wonder if I should be practicing my comments in front of the mirror too.
My MBTI is I, so I'm super shy and talking in front of people is the hardest thing in the world for me... That unique, quirky, and cute vibe Wonhee has... is that pure talent that can't be practiced? Do you guys do anything specific to improve your variety skills? Or does it just happen naturally once you debut?
Our manager gave us a mission to write "Daily Messages" as if we were on Bubble or Weverse.
We have to send photos of our lunch and say sweet things to "imaginary fans." It felt so cringe at first, but now I’m actually getting good at it. Does your company also train u for 'Social Media Interaction'? Or is my label just extra? lol.
I’m mostly using YouTube tutorials for vocal training, but I’m scared I’m developing bad habits.
I can hit the high notes in 'SWIM' while sitting down, but the moment I stand up to dance, my voice shakes like crazy. 😭 Do u guys use any apps for pitch correction or feedback? Or should I just save up for an online 1:1 session with a Korean coach?
