I noticed that some global auditions now have a mission: "Create a 15-second point dance for this song."
It’s not just about how well u dance, it’s about how 'Viral' your moves are. They want to see if u have the instinct to create something catchy that everyone can follow. It's so much pressure! I spent all night trying to make a "hand-dance" that looks cool but easy. Any tips for making a move go viral?
I’ve been filming so many self-tapes lately for global auditions (SM, Pledis, you name it!), and I realized that small mistakes can totally ruin a great performance. Before you upload your hard-earned talent, run through this 2026 survival checklist:
- Clean the Lens: Sounds basic, but a fingerprint on the camera lens makes the video look blurry and unprofessional. Wipe it!
- No Beauty Filters: Companies in 2026 want to see your REAL skin and face shape. Filters are a huge "No"—they want to see the raw potential.
- Eye-Contact with the LENS: Don't look at yourself on the screen! Look directly into the black dot of the camera. That’s how you "communicate" with the judges.
- Lighting is Key: Stand facing a window during the day or use a ring light. Shadowy faces hide your expressions!
- Check the Audio: Make sure the music isn't drowning out your voice. We need to hear your 100% raw vocals!
Don't let a technical error hide your star quality. We've worked way too hard for that! Let's all get those "Pass" emails this year. 💌
Yesterday, I saw a trainee crying quietly in the stairwell after checking their monthly evaluation results. It broke my heart because I knew exactly what they were thinking: "Am I just not good enough? Maybe I’m not meant for this."
If you’ve been feeling like your world is crashing down because of a low score or another "No" from an audition, I want you to shift your perspective today.
Stop calling it a "Failure." Start calling it "Data."
When a scientist runs an experiment and it doesn't work, they don't say, "I’m a failure as a human." They say, "Okay, that's one way that doesn't work. Let’s try a different variable."
I was thinking about how cool fandom names are, like 'ARMY', 'MY', 'DIVE', or 'Fearnot'.
They all have such deep meanings. If I were to name mine, I’d want something related to 'Stars' or 'Light'. Maybe something like 'Lumina' or 'Orbit'? lol. What's a name that would make u feel connected to your fans forever? Let's brainstorm some legendary fandom names!
Let's dream a little today! lol. If u finally get that first paycheck after debut, what's your top priority?
For me, I want to take my parents to a 5-star hotel dinner and buy my mom a designer bag. And maybe buy myself a high-end microphone for my home studio! It feels so far away, but thinking about it makes me want to practice 10x harder. What's on your "Dream Purchase" list?
Now that BTS is back as a full group, the global attention on K-pop is peaking again!
I feel like companies are going to be even more strict with their standards because the world is watching. Also, the "Narrative" of BTS is so strong—it makes me think about what MY narrative is. What kind of story do u want to tell the world through your debut?
I was watching a PLAVE or MAVE stage today and honestly... they never get tired, their skin is always perfect, and they never make a mistake.
While I’m here with a pimple on my chin and sore muscles from 8 hours of practice. 😭 Sometimes I feel like I'm competing with "perfection" itself. Does anyone else get "AI-FOMO"? How do we show our "human charm" to compete with these flawless virtual stars?
My real name is Chloe, which I love, but sometimes I imagine having a cool, one-syllable stage name like 'V' or 'L'.
Something that sounds powerful but mysterious. Or maybe something cute and fruity? lol. If you debut tomorrow, are you going with your birth name or a stage name? What’s the vibe you want to give off with just your name? Let’s hear some cool ideas! 💭
I asked a trainer what those vague audition comments really mean, and here’s the tea:
- "You have a unique image": They like your face but don't know which group concept you fit yet. (Show more versatility!)
- "You look better in person than on camera": Your facial bones might not be catching the light well. (Find your lighting angles ASAP!)
- "Keep practicing and come back": You have potential, but your basics (core, pitch) are shaky.
Knowing how to read between the lines is a survival skill. What’s the most confusing feedback u’ve ever received? Let’s decode it together!
I saw a compilation of idols forgetting their lyrics during live performances.
Some just hum the melody, but the real pros make up NEW lyrics on the spot that actually make sense! It’s like they have a second brain for emergencies. My favorite is when they just turn the mic to the fans lol. Who do u think has the best "recovery skills" in K-pop right now? I want to study them!
