Are you letting a "Score" define your Soul?
Yesterday, I saw a trainee crying quietly in the stairwell after checking their monthly evaluation results. It broke my heart because I knew exactly what they were thinking: "Am I just not good enough? Maybe I’m not meant for this."
If you’ve been feeling like your world is crashing down because of a low score or another "No" from an audition, I want you to shift your perspective today.
Stop calling it a "Failure." Start calling it "Data."
When a scientist runs an experiment and it doesn't work, they don't say, "I’m a failure as a human." They say, "Okay, that's one way that doesn't work. Let’s try a different variable."
Total respect for this post! I've had my fair share of 'bad data' days in Australia before coming here. It doesn't mean our dream is wrong, it just means our 'experiment' needs a little tweak. Let's keep analyzing and growing!
The stairwell tears are too real. 😭 Thanks for the perspective—our souls are worth way more than a score on a sheet!
This mindset is a TOTAL game changer. 🧠 Science is all about trial and error, and so is being an idol! If the 'variable' was my high note this month, and it didn't work, I'll just change my 'vocal technique' variable next month.
