Is the heavy bad-boy aesthetic finally dying? The soft boy meta is taking over.

I’ve been looking at the styling of the newest rookie boy groups, and the vibe shift is crazy.

A few years ago, every boy group audition required a dark, smoky-eye look, leather jackets, and a heavy hip-hop choreo where you look like you want to fight the camera. ⛓️💥 But now? It’s all about the "Soft/Nerd Boy" vibe. Oversized cardigans, clear-frame glasses, messy hair, and an adorable, slightly clumsy-but-cute smile. It feels much closer to J-pop or Western indie aesthetics. Honestly, I'm so relieved because I look ridiculous in leather pants. lol. Anyone else changing their audition wardrobe to pastel colors?
