what counts as a "special talent" on audition forms??
so i'm filling out an application for a global audition and there's a section for special talents. the thing is... i don't really have anything "special" besides singing and dancing?
should i put something random like "imitating a bird" or "fast typing" lol? or do they want something like playing instruments or other languages? what did u guys put in yours?? i don't want to leave it blank but i don't want to look weird either. help!!
anything that shows your 'star quality' works! if u can act or do sports, put that in. even 'fast learning' is a talent in the trainee world. don't overthink it, they just want to see your personality!
i was so stressed about this too 😭 but my vocal coach told me they aren't looking for a pro, they're looking for 'trainability.' if u don't have a specific talent, u can even put 'fast learner' or 'facial expressions.' it shows u have the right mindset for the job.
if u play any sports like golf, swimming, or taekwondo, definitely include that! it shows ur disciplined and have good physical stamina. and if u speak even a little bit of another language, it's a huge plus for global groups!
the most important thing is how u present it! even a small talent can look 'special' if u show it with confidence.
I once saw someone put 'expert at hair and makeup' and the scouts actually asked them about it because it shows they can take care of their own visual. Just pick something that makes you look like a 'multi-talented' human, not just a dancing robot. You got this!!
