quick question about learning korean lyrics...
okay so, how do u guys practice singing in korean when u don't speak the language fluently yet? π
i'm trying to learn SPAGHETTI for my next monthly evaluation but the rap part is literally a tongue twister lol. do u guys just memorize the romanization, or do u actually learn the hangul first?
i really want my pronunciation to sound natural because i don't want to look like a complete amateur to the scouts π any tips on how to improve fast?? also if u have any good k-drama recs that helped u learn, pls drop them below! tysm!! π
girl, definitely learn hangul first!! π i used to rely on romanization but it actually messed up my pronunciation because the sounds aren't 100% the same. once u know hangul, u can see the 'batchim' (final consonants) better and it makes the rap parts flow so much smoother.
for k-dramas, i highly recommend 'Twenty-Five Twenty-One' or 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo'! the dialogue is super natural and cute. π also, dont worry too much about being perfectβscouts look for potential and your 'vibe' more than flawless pronunciation at first.
what i do is slow down the song to 0.5x or 0.75x on youtube and just repeat it like a hundred times until my mouth gets used to it. also, try recording urself and comparing it to the original! it's painful to listen to but it works lol.
My secret is 'Phonetic Scripting'! Listen to the song on 0.75x speed and write down exactly what you hear in your own language, even if it looks like gibberish. It helps with the 'flow' way better than standard romanization.
