Casting agents told me I have 'No Individuality'. Am I just boring?
I made it to the 2nd round of an online audition and got a direct note from the recruitment team. They said my skills are stable but I lack "individuality."
I was so confused because I thought copying the original choreo perfectly was the goal. But I talked to a senior trainee, and she told me it means I look like a "robot." 🤖 They don't want a 100% perfect copy; they want to see your own style in the way u shrug your shoulders or how u look at the camera during a rest beat. Next time, I’m adding my own texture to the intro instead of just standing there.
Receiving feedback about stability means your foundational mechanics and core strength are already at an elite level; now, adding deliberate texture to the rest beats is the most logic-driven way to inject your unique aura into the piece.
Casting scouts see hundreds of perfect copies daily, so intentionally breaking the rigid robot look with subtle shoulder shrugs or a confident screen-dominating gaze will instantly elevate your professional attitude.
Omgg getting 2nd round feedback is a huge win though!! 😭 "Adding your own texture" is exactly what makes an idol a star, you're gonna eat up the next audition fr!! ✨
