Best songs for a global audition? (Vocal/Dance)
I’m filming my audition clip for YG next week. I’m a mezzo-soprano and I want to show my range but also my tone. Should I go with a K-pop song or an English pop song? Any advice on the lighting/background too?
English pop is fine, but maybe do a short K-pop cover too just in case.
Pick a song that suits your voice color more than high notes. Good luck!
Don't over-edit the audio. They want to hear your raw voice.
Exciting! Since you're a mezzo-soprano, I’d suggest an English pop song that highlights your unique tone rather than just hitting high notes. Pop is usually better for showing off your natural groove!
Going for YG? Huge flex! For them, tone is literally everything. If you're a mezzo-soprano, go with something that shows off your 'soul'—think SZA or Tems for English pop, or maybe some Lee Hi if you want to stay in the K-pop lane.
