Why does my singing sound too 'heavy' when I translate it to Korean?

I just realized why my vocal tapes weren’t getting passes. I was singing Korean lyrics with a heavy Western pop vocal style.

In Western pop, we open our throats wide and use a lot of chest voice. But Korean casting agents love that soft, slightly airy, and precise vowel placement. 💨 I started softening my 'ㄹ' and 'ㅇ' sounds and focused on making my voice sound more 'linear' rather than bouncy.
